Carnival of Cultures 2017

Carnival of Cultures is one of Inner West Council’s flagship events set in the historic Ashfield Park. The event celebrates the many cultures that make up the vibrant inner west community through great cultural performances, delicious food and market stalls and free, fun activities for all ages. Performing live on the main stage was the Headline Act Christine Anu and The Kuseah Lawson Trio, Rufino and the Coconuts, Korean drumming together with the 15 Stars Cook Island Troupe. Cultural Dance Showcase featured classical Indian Bharatanatyam, Spanish flamenco, traditional Greek and Chinese-Tibetan dance. Free Activities For Kids included Face painting, Giant games , Extreme Obstacle Course Interactive Australian Wildlife display and MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) Young Creatives ArtSpace. International Food Stalls including delicious signature dishes from Vietnam, Mexico, China, Spain, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Turkey and Thailand.
